Annemarie Gremminger

  • Volunteer with the English as Second Language, Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, involved in El Salvador Ministry and refugee programs.

“For years, I have been interested in Good Shepherd’s sistering relationship with the people in El Salvador but I felt like I had nothing tangible to offer. However, I have learned through the time spent with the El Salvador Ministry that it is most important to listen, to be compassionate and to do what we can to speak up for others. This will be my second visit to El Salvador.”

Linda Mayer

  • Member of the Good Shepherd’s Caring Ministries, Religious Education teacher and Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist.

“I am so excited to finally go to El Buen Pastor. I love to meet people and to travel to other countries and learn about their culture. This visit is very special since I will get to know our sister community in El Buen Pastor.”

Ellen McAndrews

  • Member of Good Shepherd Parish for 28 years.
  • Volunteer tutor at the Learning Club in KCK, volunteer at Garden Terrace praying the Rosary and Communion minister to the Catholic residents.

“I have always been intrigued by our relationship with El Buen Pastor. My son went with the Good Shepherd delegation when he was 17 and my daughter has had several business trips to El Salvador. Now, it is my turn to learn about this area and the people who live there. I hope this trip will help me to understand their concerns and take an active role in helping them meet their needs.”

Jerry McAndrews

  • Member of Good Shepherd Parish for 28 years.
  • Member of the Knights of Columbus, practice law, enjoy golfing and spending time with family.

“I am making the trip to learn about other cultures and share my time and interest with the people in El Buen Pastor.”

Jasmin Pulido

  • Member of Good Shepherd for over 3 years.
  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, involved in the childcare team at Mass, Religious Education teacher’s aide and volunteer with Quinceañera retreats.

“I have decided to go to El Salvador for various reasons. Not only do I want my faith to grow, but I am also interested in helping those who have undergone hardships and experiences. I am eager to learn, build relationships and see another side of the world.”
